Tom Cornwell is celebrating his 31st year in the auction business this year. He graduated from the Western College of Auctioneering in June of 1979 immediately following graduation from high school. The Auction business has been a full time profession for Tom ever since. He is recognized worldwide as a leading auctioneer of farm toys. He has been specializing in the sale of farm toys since 1983. He conducts on a yearly basis the Prestigest National Farm Toy Auction held in conjunction with the National Farm Toy Show held in Dyersville, Iowa each November. Tom also holds a Nebraska Real Estate Sales License.

OUR STAFF

Tom Cornwell President & Founder of Cornwell Inc. Land & Home Brokers – Auctioneers, Tom grew up in the auction business following his father Les’s footsteps. He entered the business full-time in 1979. Acquired his Real Estate License in 1981. Tom has conducted auctions the past 31 years throughout Central Nebraska as well as in several surrounding states. Tom is a member of the Nebraska Auctioneers Association having served as a Director for the Association. Also holds membership in the National Auctioneers Association.
He has conducted numerous seminars for both associations as well as other organizations giving insight on his experiences in the auction business. He specializes in the sale of Farms and Ranches and offers expertise in offering Farm Real Estate at Public Auction as well as by Private Treaty.

Renee Arnold - Renee joined joined the firm in November 2004. She specializes in Residential Home sales for the firm. She is eager and willing to assist you with your residential Real Estate needs. In 2007 she obtained her Real Estate Broker’s License and now serves as Principal Broker for the Firm. Renee and her Husband, Rich, have two daughters, Rachael and Tory, they reside in Aurora.

Dick Mundt – Land Sales - Auctioneer - Dick is a 1972 Graduate of Reisch Auction College in Mason City, Iowa. He and Verland Widga have been conducting auctions of all types for 36 years and will continue in the personal property sales together. Dick and his wife Carla retired from farming in 2006 and moved to Aurora. Dick has had his Real Estate Salespersons license since 2004 and is joining our firm with his main focus on land sales by private treaty or at public auction. He is a member of the Nebraska Auctioneers Association. Dick and Carla have two sons, Charlie and Ed, both are married. They also enjoy their three grandchildren.

Liz Cornwell - Head Cashier and Accounting - She, is Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Corporation. Liz has vast knowledge of auction cashiering, clerking and accounting, working with the firm's state of the art computerized auction clerking system. Within an hour after the auction is completed, it enables us to print a detailed statement showing each item sold, how much it brought, who your registered bidders were and much, much more!. Our customers/buyers love the quick check out process. She is a member of the Nebraska Auctioneers Association Auxiliary and has served as Director of the organization. Liz and Tom have one son, Casey.

Dan Muirhead - Auctioneer - Dan is a 1983 graduate of Mason City World Wide College of Auctioneering at Mason City, Iowa. He has been employed by Cornwell Inc. Land & Home Brokers - Auctioneers as an auctioneer since December 1996. Dan is an outstanding bid caller as he was named 1996 Nebraska State Auctioneer Bid Calling Champion. He also has great knowledge of all facets of personal property and their respective values. He is also a past Director of the Nebraska Auctioneers Association and Member of the National Auctioneers Association.

Roger Obermeier - Auctioneer - Ringman - Roger has been associated with the Cornwell Auction Family dating back to the early 1970’s. His auction career started with Tom’s father Les. He has a strong background in Agriculture and vast knowledge of livestock, farming & ranching. He is a very seasoned bid caller and his vast experience in the auction business makes him a great asset to our firm.

Mindi Seyler - Cashier - Mindy joined our firm in 2002. She acquainted herself with our auction cashiering and clerking computerized system almost instantly. She is always eager to assist our buyers with registration and purchase settlement on auction day.

Karen Kutschkau – Karen joined our firm in 2005. She helps with Auction Clerking and Cashiering

Jana Schefcik – Jana joined our firm in 2005. She helps with Auction Clerking and Cashiering
